For this event, we’ve invited Jeffery Paine, the Managing Partner of Golden Gate Ventures, and other Singaporean VCs and accelerators to talk about the present and the future of the country’s ecosystem. ■ Jeffery Paine, Managing Partner, Golden Gate Ventures
Jeffrey Paine is the founding partner of Golden Gate Ventures, an early stage technology incubator based in Singapore. Jeff started and manages the Founder Institute in Singapore where he is currently overseeing its expansion in Southeast Asia. Since 2010 the Founder Institute in Singapore has graduated over 80 companies.


■ Michelle Ng, Manager, ACE
Michelle is Manager of wInternational Business Development and Partnerships at ACE. She is experienced in the Singapore and regional startup ecosystems, as she actively drives the development of a connected ecosystem in the region through establishing strategic partnerships with regional ecosystem players and engaging them in initiatives to facilitate market access and regional innovation for our startups. Together with ecosystem partners and corporate networks, Michelle organizes various startup engagements and developed the ACE Market Insights series to help startups understand unfamiliar markets and how to do business in target markets.


■ Dario Heymann, CRO, GALEN GROWTH ASIA
Dario is an aspiring entrepreneur who is currently also pursuing his PhD in Material Science and Engineering at the Nanyang Technological University, working on the development of biosimilar materials for transplantation. Previously, he worked as a Researcher for Bayer Healthcare in Berlin and A*STAR in Singapore and has been with multiple academic institutions including the Tsinghua University in Beijing and the Max Planck Institute for Colloids and Interfaces in Berlin.


■ iglobe partners, Principal, Jeff Lin
Jeff Lin has over 15 years of experience in telecom and technology, management consulting, as well as VC investment. Prior to joining iGlobe in 2014, Jeff was with Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, working on strategy consulting projects with the Myanmar government and MNC clients in Southeast Asia.
Started his career in 1998 as a as a product-marketing manager and Value Based Marketing owner at Nokia China Investment Co., Ltd., he later engaged in business development division of Hutchison Telecom HK Ltd. He also worked as a deputy country representative for Huawei’s Telecom Business in Singapore.
